Both parties came to the table today for our 17th negotiating session. Late in the evening, after 12 hours of negotiating, MNA presented St. Luke’s with an 85-page package proposal calling for wage increases of 24.5% over three years (10%, 8.5%, 6%) among many other economic demands.

This is not sustainable for our organization, the other 2,500 St. Luke’s employees, or our community.

It became clear that further negotiation would not bring parties closer together. We will now focus our efforts on continuing to care for our patients and community.
