We had a productive day of negotiations. We were pleased to have MNA President Mary Turner present for the morning session.

We submitted counter proposals to continue the discussion from last week around on-call staffing for the operating room and timing of internal transfers.

Several counter proposals by both parties were made throughout the day surrounding unit mergers and consolidations, leaves of absence, vacations and wages.

St. Luke’s requested the assistance of a mediator to help us reach an agreement next Thursday and MNA declined.

Our last session before the contract expires is scheduled for Thursday, June 30. There is a lot of work to be done, as we have yet to come together on some important issues. St. Luke’s management team is committed to staying at the bargaining table as long as we need to next week to reach an agreement.
